teams:

1. Get people together in teams.

Democratic companies don’t have managers. You have representatives who are responsible for representing your needs and wants to the customers, stakeholders and coworkers you don’t work with everyday.

Sure, you might have a project manager or division director or president but, just as the mayor of your town or your city councilperson or president, your project manager and division director and president are responsible for doing what’s in your team’s and department’s and company’s long-term best interests.

And you are responsible for choosing them.
