When doing research and asking coworkers, stakeholders or customers for advice, find something that attracts you about the person you’re going to speak with. Your attraction will attract them to you.
Only ask questions you really want to know the answer to.
If you can ask one question to get their ideas, ask, “If you could change one thing about _____, what would it be?”
If you can ask one question with a number in it, ask, “On a scale of 1-10, where 1 is never and 10 is definitely, how likely are you to refer _____ to a friend?”
