Narrative Map

“Narrative Learning Theory: Introduction”
Learn a universal map — the road rules for every widely popular and deeply fulfilling story, relationship, and experience, ever — from a narrative expert who is also an executive coach. Your creativity will be engaged as we explore these spaces and yourself in them.
We’ll apply the map to three areas:
- Selling in stores. Ways to improve the shopping process in retail stores, in online stores and in one-on-one selling.
- Leadership vision. Writing letters and telling the story of what you do.
- Personal relationships. Identifying your communication strengths and accepting your communication trouble spots.
With fun hands-on examples and interactive practice, you’ll see how the map is the template for shopping in Sephora, for the TV show “Friends” and the movie “Hitch”, for political speeches, grassroots activism, job postings and job applications, conversations with friends and coworkers, plus much more.
You’ll learn to apply the map to areas of your life, and come up with between one and three specific techniques unique for you to make your sales more peaceful, your leadership more connected, and your relationships more fun. We’ll apply narrative learning to map our way to success.
By invitation only.
$100/person for a set of two classes.
The next set of two classes will be Wednesdays 7pm on June 18 and June 25, 2008 in NYC’s East Village.
