You never know all of someone.
Some people strongly seem like they only want money and recognition, others like they only want to plan, others like they only want to act, and others like they only want friendship. Yet everyone has other sides too.
Be open to people. A coworker who’s never made a suggestion might volunteer an idea today. That guy you’ve fought with might bring you a peace offering tomorrow. The CEO might want to learn to do graphic design, and the computer programmer might want to make sales.
Sure, usually you can rely on people to do what you expect. But sometimes magic happens. Don’t respond to behaviors you don’t want to encourage. Do respond to behaviors you do want to encourage.
