78. Divide and prosper.

Allow individuals and departments to shoot off from your core company and do their own thing, fully independent.

Whether through business “incubation,” or dissatisfaction with the status quo, allow these explorers to go out and discover life on their own, and new opportunities.  Welcome them back for business arrangements that benefit you and them, whether as a supplier to you, or consultant, or customer, or partner.

Just as children grow up and leave their parents’ house, some companies incubate shoot-offs.  The benefit to the parent company is an opportunity to invest for profit, and a new company to supply them with resources, inspiration, and equal partnership.
