56. If you can’t solve your problems on your own, bring in more people who are affected by the problem.

When you’re stuck, involve more people affected to make the problem easier to solve.  If two experts are fighting about what to do about a pension plan, more people brought into the group can help the experts relax to see their common interests.  More people can have other ideas, influence their friends to help, and do more work to fix the problem.  And more people who share the same problem can emphasize why the problem is important.

Scarcity mentality means that there are only a limited amount of resources so a coworker’s gain is your loss, and “your playing small…serve[s] the world….[Shrink] so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.”

Abundance mentality means that by your doing well, you help other people to do well.  As you make sales, you help the company grow so other people can make sales.  A coworker’s getting a pay raise sets the way for you to get a pay raise.  Helping someone else solve a problem helps you solve your own problem.
